**THIS JOB POSTING CLOSES ON 11/30/2021** Job Title: COVID-19 Screener Department: Medical Reports To: COVID-19 Program Coordinator FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Classification: Regular, Full-Time, 40 hours/week, Monday - Friday Job Function: Non-clinical Location: Onsite Pay range: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour DOE Funding: Grant (end date is 6/30/2022) Benefits: Eligible for benefits on date of hire. Low employee contribution for PPO Medical, DPPO Dental, Vision. 403B retirement plan, generous PTO & sick time, 14 paid holidays annually, Employee birthday paid day off; company paid life, AD&D, short term and long-term disability, corporate discount programs, bereavement and jury duty paid time off SUMMARY Provides COVID-19 screening assessment to patients, visitors, and employees at the Medical Main Entrance.*This is a grant funded position with an end date of 06/30/2022 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Arrives to work in a timely manner.2. Assists in the set-up of Front Entry supplies each day.3. Be familiar with the COVID-19 Patient Screening Process.4. Wears proper PPE at all times.5. Screens all entering patients, visitors, and employees at the Main Medical entry for COVID-19 symptoms by taking temperature and asking screening questions.6. Hands out any face masks to patients and visitors entering facility, if needed.7. Ensures each patient and visitor receives a wristband for their visit documenting the date.8. If needed, escorts visitors to their meeting area, or assist with patients needing wheelchair.9. Reports any abnormal temperatures and answers to screening questions to Nurse on duty.10. Assists with the maintenance of Front Entry supplies.11. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilities.TRAVEL & DRIVING REQUIREMENTSTravel and driving are not required for this position.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE --- High school diploma or GED preferred--- Experience with COVID-19 screening preferredCERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGULATIONS--- A valid California driver's license and a good driving record will be required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. --- Current CPR certification or attain within 6 months of hire. --- Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment physical exam, tuberculin skin test or x-ray and urine drug screen test to include marijuana. Health must be adequate to perform all duties of the position.--- Must pass criminal background check.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES--- Knowledge of appropriate COVID-19 safety protocols for PPE, testing and hygiene.--- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, clinic staff, and the public. --- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing work environment.TECHNOLOGY SKILLS Must be proficient in the following:--- Productivity Software: Microsoft Office 365; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email & Calendar Management (outlook), Teams (video conferencing and meetings), and Share Point. --- Electronic health records software (NextGen preferred).--- Utilization of Relias Learning, ADP and PolicyTech systems.LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents. Possess adequate written and oral language skills to communicate clearly and effectively. Ability to respond appropriately to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to public groups, peer groups and/or leadership. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to apply critical thinking skills to problem solve.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
