The Role
The Research Associate will, with reasonable direction, works towards completing the design and execution of assay development projects using cell-based immunofluorescence staining protocols. This person will work under supervision, and in collaboration with others in a team-oriented environment to develop novel multi-omic liquid biopsy diagnostic tests.
BS, 2-4 years of relevant experience, or an MS + 0
Communication Skill :
Communication of observations, technical findings, and progress to immediate supervisor/immediate team. Maintains accurate and detailed records of operations. May draft and review SOP's and other technical documents
Interpersonal Skill:
Works effectively in a team environment; establishes effective relationships with supervisor and team members.
Demonstrates a general mastery of research/lab processes with an understanding of experimental design and an understanding of data analysis techniques. Works under general supervision to interpret data and results; may offer input re: next steps in design of experiments
Ability to complete a variety of tasks in the lab; offers input regarding improving processes and outcomes. Pays close and consistent attention to detail. Able to communicate data to internal and external audiences.
Work as a cross-functional team member across product-development stages from establishing the technical feasibility of an assay to analytically validating a commercial product
Prepare and order necessary reagents
Analyze data, interpret and present results, provide creative solutions to problems and design troubleshooting experiments as needed
Follow strict quality regulations (e.g., SOPs, GxP, CAP/CLIA)
Draft and review SOPs and other technical documents as necessary
May perform additional duties as assigned or directed by management from time to time.
Previous experience - competency in antibody-based workflows including immunofluorescence, western blots, ELISA, or other plate-based immunoassays is desirable.
