AI
The Team
The Deloitte Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) team is
catalyzing and shaping the Autonomous Vehicle (AV) market through a
suite of turnkey, as-a-service solutions that deliver improved
performance and lower total cost of ownership. These solutions will
empower Automotive customers to realize their autonomy ambitions as
efficiently as possible.
High Level Role
We are looking for a seasoned practitioner with experience in
simulation and design in the Automotive space as relates to AV
development.
The simulation lead will be responsible for the following main
activities:
- Create a realistic project plan, communicate the plan to the
larger team, and coordinate with other project tasks
- Define, develop, and implement the reference stack that
includes all the hardware and software components
- Set up the overall SIL, HIL and Synthetic Data generation based
environment that has both hardware and software components,
third-party solutions for Environment, Traffic, Vehicle physics,
Sensors, & Scenarios and NVIDIA DRIVE Sim's native capabilities to
provide a more comprehensive solution
- Perform simulation with photorealistic digital twins of
real-world environments across multiple scenarios and generate
output files with the fused synthetic sensor data for model
training
- Ingest the real vehicle and synthetic sensor data
- Visualize overall vehicle behavior in real-time
- Create a dashboard to monitor the status of the simulation
service and evaluate DNN efficacy metrics
- Generate high quality marketing collateral that can be used for
internal and external business development
- Collaborate with other teams to jointly evaluate and improve
the overall solution attributes of Perception, Localization,
Prediction, Planning, and Control
- Work with the broader team to identify candidate customers,
convince them to co-develop their solution (provide
use-case/requirements, success criteria and evaluate the POC)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Architecture, Computer Science,
Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5+ years of experience working with automotive OEMs to deploy
full vehicle solutions for vehicle dynamics and/or control
- 2+ years of experience in the creation, simulation, evaluation
and tuning of full-vehicle models that can be used for assessing
driving-related vehicle scenarios that include phenomena such as
acceleration/braking, steering/cornering, gearshift, and vehicle
control
- 2+ experience with Mapping (3D and/or HD mapping) tools and ISV
offerings
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you
do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A strong background in relevant areas such as physics-based
simulation (vehicle), mathematics, and machine learning
- Experience managing the creation/maintenance of successful
commercial engineering software to provide solutions that delight
customers
- Familiarity with NVIDIA AV toolchain (DRIVE Sim)
- Conversant with Open (open-drive, open-scenario) standards
frameworks and ability to leverage this into the Simulation
reference architecture for cross platform portability (non-NVIDIA
environments)
- Goal oriented and dedicated to meeting project quality and
timing goals
- Ability to motivate and inspire project team to perform at
superior levels
- Out-of-the-box, lateral thinking to find innovative solutions
to problems
- Business development skills (e.g., customer identification,
communication of value proposition, etc.)
- Advanced Degree - equivalent work experience may act as a
substitute to degree requirements.
