Job Summary The Assembly and Characterization Test Coordinator will work with the product development team to ensure that NPI test capability milestones are synchronous with the schedules required to meet or exceed pSemi customer expectations. The position will work within a cross functional team (CFT): IC Design, PCB Design, Characterization, NPI Supply Chain Planning and Program Management teams to fully understand the demand and supply needs for NPI design verification activities. The position will require the ability to learn the details of test evaluation manufacturing processes, translating those into appropriate supply plans and executing successfully against those plans. The position requires the ability to learn the following: PCB design, PCB manufacturing, interpretation of BOMs (Bill of Materials) for pertinent EVK (Evaluation Verification Kits) builds, procurement of BOM, handling of the BOM components for proper assembly requirements and EVK assembly process. The position will also need to understand deliverables to outsource builds (or internal builds) and coordinate with outside vendors or internal assembly team for schedules and planning deliverables. Roles & Responsibilities This position has responsibility for: Plan, schedule, and coordinate the materials for delivering time-critical components to support all projects under development Monitor component inventory for PCB assemblies and maintain inventory Provide status of Engineering EVK delivery to Characterization and Design teams Interpret EVK BOMs and createPurchase Orders to complete the required build of EVKs for the schedules for design verification and characterization of product Help identifypotential supply risks and inventory exposures by aligning supply chain processes with product development project plan milestones or work with engineers to find alternative components on BOM when shortages are discovered Communicate status through meetings, reports, and dashboards used in CFT meetings and reports Work fluidly in a highly cross-functional team environment within the product development teams, as well as supply chain specialists, manufacturing engineers, and logistics personnel to align EVK builds with schedule requirements Track material flow at all suppliers Plan and track pre-production EVK build from engineering development from hand off to production Coordinate and plan PCB/interposer Laminate inventory to meet NPI schedules for the WIFI/WLAN, mmWave, ATS, and Power teams; entails interfacing with PCB Design team for PCB reorders and Design/Characterization Teams for quantities needed to plan out EVK build schedules Competency Requirements In order to perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Serving Customers: Builds strong relationships with customers; stays aware of customer needs, concerns and satisfaction; responds promptly to customer questions and requests; effectively manages customer expectations Communicating Effectively: Expresses ideas and information in a clear and concise manner; tailors message to fit the interests and needs of the audience; delivers information in a manner that is interesting and compelling to the listener Prioritizing and Organizing Work: Allocates time and attention based on what is the most important to achieve key goals and objectives; approaches work in an organized and systematic manner; effectively manages tasks, information, and requests Accepting Responsibility: Takes accountability for delivering on commitments; owns mistakes and uses them as opportunities for learning and development; openly discusses his/her actions and their consequences both good and bad Accepting Direction: Accepts and follows directions from others; respects authority; complies with requests; does what they are asked to do Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills) Less than 1+ years' experience of material planning preferably with PCB Assembly and/or Semiconductor industry Proficient in Microsoft Excel Sense of urgency to meet internal and external customer requirements High level of integrity in creating and honoring commitments Must be able to learn of PCB planning process flow, cycle times and yields of NPI materials Must be able learn how to execute assembly lots and purchase orders on Oracle system Must know how to schedule and track lots of material through all BOM levels to meet commits Excellent oral and written communication with Suppliers to create a mutually beneficial relationship with outside vendors Preferred Qualifications Relationship building: Must understand and work effectively within cultural norms Highly Organized: Acts independently to determine methods and procedure on new assignments Teamwork: Able to work concurrently with all levels of staff in such a manner as to achieve company goals and objectives Decisiveness: React with a good level of confidence to work instructions Experience placing purchase requisitions and orders on Enterprise Resource Planning system Experience working with a variety of material planning and tracking tools (e.g. WorkFront, Sharepoint, Agile, Oracle) Suppliers: experience working with outside vendors Education Requirements Associate's Degree required in relevant field or equivalent on the job experience. Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering field preferred. Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
