We are seeking a System Administrator who is proficient with Active Directory to help us continue to support our national security. Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for managing Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy Administration, Active Directory Certificate Services, Office 365.
  • Provide support for Active Directory, Azure, and overall Microsoft Enterprise Services.
  • Audit and monitor on-premise & cloud Active Directory and Azure Active Directory Environment. Other responsibilities include:
    • Maintain, analyze, and troubleshoot critical IT enterprise services.
    • Assist in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of enterprise software.
    • Monitor help desk queue and email requests and respond within acceptable timeframe.
    • Assist in developing and communicating internal processes and standards.
    • Develop training materials and technical documentation of internal applications.
    • Participate in discussions regarding efficiencies in internal processes and systems architecture.
    • Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
    • Provide on-call support on a rotational basis.
    • Provide after-hours support as needed. Requirements:
      • Experience with Enterprise Microsoft Active Directory design, implementation and support beyond general administration, to include:
        • Experience with Active Directory Infrastructure, Azure AD, Group Policies, DNS, Microsoft PowerShell, Windows Server 2008R2, 2012, 2016, and/or 2019.
        • Experience with backups and restorations of Active Directory.
        • Design, configure, and manage GPOs across a diverse Enterprise.
        • Experience creating, implementing, managing, and maintaining a Security and Delegation Model that uses AD role-based administration.
        • Experience with Azure AD and Office 365.
        • Intermediate to advanced Knowledge with Microsoft On-Prem and Cloud Solutions including ADFS, SQL, IIS, Azure, O365, Exchange Online and SharePoint Online. Skills Preferred:
          • Intermediate knowledge of network technologies and services: DHCP, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, VPN, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, Wireless Access Points
          • Intermediate to advanced Knowledge with wired and wireless networks, as well as with network and system security
          • Intermediate knowledge in cyber security best practices.
          • Conceptual knowledge in compliance frameworks (GDPR, SOC, CMMC).
          • Basic to intermediate knowledge of virtualization and SAN storage
          • Knowledge of concepts of deployment scripting and automation Soft Skills
            • Must have good logical thinking and troubleshooting skills
            • Ability to learn quickly and tackle new and technically complex problems
            • Ability to multi-task, attention to detail and excellent follow through
            • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing needs and requirements
            • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment
            • Ability to take ownership of assigned IT related issues from start to resolution
            • Ability to work evenings and weekends through on-call rotation schedule Education and Training:
              • May require a bachelor's degree in a related area with at least 3-5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
              • Azure cloud and Microsoft operating systems related certifications a plus. Due to the nature of our business, this position will require a DoD Secret Clearance, so the candidate must have an active clearance or the ability to obtain one.
