So if you're open to change, go ahead and unlock your potential.We are seeking a Radiation Physicist to support our Radiation Oncology department at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego primarily, however travel and support of other sites within the network is anticipated and expected. As part of our dynamic team, you will participate in all aspects of the operation of the physics services and must be detail oriented when calibrating and QA testing our equipment to ensure accurate performance. The ideal candidate is both a strong communicator and enthusiastic about learning to use the latest technology to provide quality patient care.Under the supervision of the Director of Physics, the Radiation Physicist oversees the delivery of -the planned course of radiation therapy, calculates dosage, documents all treatments, set-up instructions, measurements, and photos. Responsible for treatment planning and some radioactive implant procedures. Does all treatment planning and radiation therapy according to the physician's orders. Oversees the radiation therapists and assists the Director as assigned. Ability to perform competencies as outlined in Radiation Oncology Competency Assessment tools. Demonstrates age-specific care as established for area and job title.This is a benefitted Full Time position located at Scripps Mercy Hospital San Diego. Flexibility in schedule and willingness to commute to other Scripps hospitals is required.The following are not eligible for hiring incentives:

    • Degree in Radiological Medical Physics or related field
    • Recent experience working in complex environments, experience with MOSAIQ, ARIA, and Varian equipment preferredPreferred Qualifications:
      • ABR or ABMP board certified or board eligible
      • 1-2 years of clinical experience
      • Experience in the BrainLab and ExacTrac, Sun Nuclear equipment and Elekta HDRScripps Health is an equal opportunity employer.
