Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for either a Principal Contract Administrator 3 or Sr. Principal Contract Administrator 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located on site in San Diego, CA or Palmdale, CA Essential Functions:
Administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts
Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications
Examines estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Prepares bids
Processes specifications, progress and other reports
Advises management of contractual rights and obligations
Compiles and analyzes data and maintains historical information This position may be filled as a Principal Contract Administrator 3 or Senior Principal Contract Administrator 4. Basic Qualifications for the Level 3 are:
Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience or a Master's degree with 4 years of experience in contracts management /administration and/or industry related experience
Active DOD Top Secret Clearance, with investigation completed within the last 5 years, as well as ability to obtain a Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Ability to travel to multiple company sites when needed Basic Qualifications for the Level 4 are:
Bachelor's degree with 10 years of experience or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience in contracts management /administration and/or industry related experience
Active DOD Top Secret Clearance, with investigation completed within the last 5 years, as well as ability to obtain a Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Ability to travel to multiple company sites when needed Preferred Qualifications:
Prime Contract administration experience
3 more years' Government contracts management

Discretion/Latitude Most assignments are complex and performed independently without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.
Impact affects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources as well as problems with customer satisfaction.

Salary Range 2: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
