Responsibilities:The Defense Mission and Health Solutions Sector
supports the Department of Defense (DoD) mission to keep our
homeland and its citizens safe. We provide solutions to improve the
Nation's defense by providing software, systems engineering, IT,
training and logistics and fleet management solutions.Peraton is
seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer to support the Peraton Team on the
modernization and replacement of the ground-based leg of the
nuclear triad, nuclear missiles that can be launched from land,
sea, and air.Peraton provides Engineering and Manufacturing
Development (EMD) and Early Production & Deployment. The EMD phase
includes full system design, build and demonstration,
qualification, test and evaluation, and nuclear certification.The
position is based out of San Diego, CA.What you'll do:The Cyber
Systems Engineer will be responsible for the following but not
limited to:Incorporate and use Model Based Systems Engineering
(MBSE) tools and practices in daily processesCollaborate within the
Cybersecurity Engineering Group to provide technical decisions and
guidance to enable timely, high quality product deliveriesMeet
mission objectives by partnering with other program systems
engineers across Integrated Product Teams to accomplish program
requirementsEnsure compliance with all contractually obligated
cybersecurity standards and guidancePropose and design systems
architecture changes with traceability to requirementsProvide
guidance and oversight across technical teams for Cyber
implementationDevelop and document technical standard engineering
processes and procedures as neededParticipate in team reviews of
technical requirements, design and implementation plans prior to
deployment of computer systems, digital communications systems,
networking devices, computer architectures, and computer security
penetration tools and techniquesParticipate in cybersecurity
assessment activities and review cybersecurity assessment methods,
plans, procedures, and reportsQualifications:Required
qualifications:EDUCATION: BS 8-10, MS 6-8, PhD 3-5 Bachelor's
Degree in Cybersecurity, Software, an additional 4 years of
relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a
bachelor's degreeCLEARANCE: Candidate must currently have an active
U.S. Government DOD Secret ClearanceSystem Engineer with Cyber
backgroundExperience in developing the Requirements Verification
Architecture Model (RVAM) in Cameo Enterprise
Architecture.Experience summarizing and communicating status
reports to technical leadership at a level higher than immediate
management.Experience working in CAMEO for specification and
architecture managementEligible for Special Access Program
ClearanceDesired qualifications:Experience with Systems Security
Engineering as defined in NIST SP 800-160Knowledge of Cyber
Security Engineering practices, network technologies, DoD system
development life cycles and methodologies, and insight into
information technology infrastructure management/monitoring and
applicationsExpertise with containerized software systems in
accordance with DoD DevSecOps Reference DesignExperience authoring
and maintaining critical program documents such as Cybersecurity
Strategies, System Security Plans, Continuous Monitoring Plans,
Security Assessment Plans, etc.Experience in a Systems Engineering
role with responsibilities in the planning, designing,
implementation, testing, and delivery of a system with
Cyber/Information Assurance requirementsExcellent written and
verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to
build consensus among peersSolid technical foundation in systems
engineering with experience in multiple aspects of the systems
engineering processAbility to manage and prioritize multiple
simultaneous tasksProven collaboration with program managers and
customer representatives to meet program objectivesExperience
managing and directing efforts following an Agile and DevSecOps

Minimum: $57,500 Salary Mid: $115,000 Salary Maximum: $143,800 The
estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this
position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation
