You will advance a system to guarantee the efficient and the most consistent wireless performance for all Apple products. The design of such a system requires good wireless fundamentals, protocol experience, and sound programming practices. This includes working closely across hardware, software and system teams across Apple as well as chipset vendors, instruments vendors. Key Qualifications

• Solid understanding of LTE and NR cellular protocol stack
• Excellent knowledge of 3GPP specifications, with experience designing tests and experiments to ensure compliance
• Hands-on experience with cellular lab equipment like call boxes and protocol testers
• Experience programming in C++/Python or a similar language
• Energy and drive to thrive in a dynamic environment Description As a RF Systems Integration - Cellular Protocols and Standards Engineer, your responsibilities will include:- Design of test plans to understand impact of RF impairments to cellular performance and ensure compliance with standards and specifications- Work with and drive 3rd party vendors to deliver custom cellular testing and validation solutions- Develop algorithms and scalable software for test automation and data analytics- Capable of domestic and international travel (-15%) Education & Experience BSEE required. MSEE preferred Additional Requirements
  • - Solid understanding of RF fundamentals and communication theory
  • - Recent experience with automation and/or scripting
  • - Familiarity with data processing and statistical tools
  • - Experience and understanding of antenna/OTA measurements
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,000 and $217,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
