No Weekends On-Call Required: No Hourly Pay Range (Minimum -
Midpoint - Maximum): $21.000 - $25.922 - $31.106 The stated pay
scale reflects the range that Sharp reasonably expects to pay for
this position." The actual pay rate and pay grade for this position
will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant's
years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education,
alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors,
other requirements for the position, and employer business
practices. High School Diploma or Equivalent GED required. You will
be asked to please provide proof of your high school diploma or
GED. The person hired to this position will travel between various
Sharp HealthCare locations: Downtown San Diego, Point Loma, Kearny
Mesa, or Clairemont. Must be able to travel to various Sharp
HealthCare sites. Work Hours: 7am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
(hours are not flexible). No weekends. What You Will DoPerforms
specific semi-technical functions in support of and/or adjunct to
the delivery of timely, accurate and complete response to requests
for medical records and related information.Required Qualifications
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent GED required. You will be asked
to please provide proof of your high school diploma or GED. +
Ability to work Monday to Friday from 7am to 4:30pm + Ability to
travel to various Sharp HealthCare locations (Downtown San Diego,
Point Loma, Kearny Mesa, Clairemont) + 1 Year previous clerical
experience, preferably in a medical record setting. Essential
Functions + Customer serviceReceives and/or assists customers in
proper completion of requests for release of medical record
information according to established policy and procedure
requirements.Receives, logs in, processes and tracks release of
information requests in accordance with Confidentiality and Release
of Information policies and procedures.Provides appropriate
feedback to requestors in a timely manner.Maintains electronic
correspondence log system in accordance with established
procedures. + Department quality controlFollows record
tracking/control procedures at all times.Perform quality control of
the electronic health record system, checking for both data
integrity and image quality.Performs audits and quality maintenance
in assigned section of file room according to established pletes
file room purge lists and Current Status reports timely. +
MeetingsAttends scheduled department and in-service
meetings.Participates in discussions with positive input and
feedback, volunteers as time keeper or to take minutes. +
Productivity reportingCompletes and submits timely, accurate
individual productivity and scan productivity reports, quality
statistics, and scan batch cover sheets to supervisor or
supervisor's designee. + Scanning and indexingAs needed, prep,
sort, batch, scan and manually index documents in the electronic
health record system.Scanning and Viewing (not including Prep) of
50-page batches: 20-25 per day meets standards, 26-30 per day
exceeds standards, 31 + day consistently exceeds dexing (not
including Prep/Scan/View) of 50-page batches: 16-18 per day meets
standards, 19-21 per day exceeds standards, 22 + day consistently
exceeds standards.Scanning/Viewing/Indexing (not including Prep) of
50-page batches: 14-16 per day meets standards, 17-19 per day
exceeds standards, 20 + per day consistently exceeds
standards.Prepping/Scanning/Viewing/Indexing of 50-page batches:
8-10 per day meets standards, 11-13 per day exceeds standards, 14 +
per day consistently exceeds standards.Quality Control of 50-page
batches: 2 per hour meets standards, 3 per hour exceeds standards,
4 per hour consistently exceeds standards. + Special
projectsMaintain supply inventoriesCombine records of dual
registered patientsAssist with death certificate
preparationObserve, evaluate and communicate impressions of
departmental operations to managementScanner equipment maintenance
- maintains and calibrates scanning equipment. + TrainingTrain and
orient staff members to electronic health record system and
department operations and submits feedback to Supervisor. + Typing
skillsUsing a keyboard, required to type proficiently and
accurately.Ability to type a minimum of 30 words per minute with
0-2 errorsAbility to proof work. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities +
Strong verbal and written communication skills. + Knowledge of
terminal digit and alphabetical file systems. + Excellent telephone
skills. + Ability to give close attention to detail. + Ability to
work with minimal supervision, set schedule and manage own time.
