and environment of the United States of America. RMC is seeking a
Sr. Network Architect with demonstrated experience designing,
architecting, and managing large scale network infrastructures in
support of the U.S. Navy in San Diego, CA. The successful candidate
will lead the development of all network requirements, oversee
implementation of network architecting and engineering efforts, and
be responsible for setting direction and promoting continuous
evolution of the network, including architecture refresh, service
offerings and cloud integration. The successful candidate will have
strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to
understand and break down complex networks with minimum
supervision. Responsibilities:+ Serve as the on-site senior
technical SME for the US Navy IPT programmatic and technical leads,
communicating critical and time sensitive planning, performance,
and risk mitigation directly to the technical leadership team.+
Lead the development of highly innovative service offerings,
products and solutions, achieved through collaboration with
industry and government experts.+ Continuously analyze the
customer's needs and identify security, system and programmatic
requirements, ensuring best in class technologies and practices are
in place+ Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze,
plan, and design, develop, implement, test or evaluate network
systems.+ Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses,
reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.+
Apply engineering experience to perform functions such as system
integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing,
or acquisition and resource management.+ Analyze, design, develop,
implement, test, or evaluate software, components, or systems
related to engineering or functional requirements of military
support systems.+ Continuously evaluate and identify additional
technical resources needed to effectively support the customer, to
include additional SMEs and also recommended training+ Provide
mentorship and leadership to junior engineering team+ Possess
strong written and verbal communications skills, with the ability
to work independently with senior level clients Requirements:+ BS
degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information
Systems, Management Information Systems, Information Security, Data
Science, Analytics, Physics, Math, or other Computer Science
related field+ Minimum of twelve (12) years of hands-on experience
supporting operations and or accreditation of enterprise networks,
software, and/or applications in a DoD environment+ Demonstrated
experience designing, developing, building and implementing
information security within networks using DoD information security
standards, network infrastructure life cycle management,
researching and proposing new technologies for future designs+
Currently possess DOD 8570, IAT Level II Security+ CE certification
or equivalent+ Currently possess a secret security clearance
Preferences:+ Experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation
Guide (STIG) implementation/maintenance for approved operating
systems, network appliances, storage devices, servers, software,
etc.+ Currently possess at least one of the following vendor
specific certifications: Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert
(CCIE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Citrix
Certified Professional Virtualization, Citrix Certified Expert -
Virtualization, Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing and
Switching-Expert, or Juniper Networks Certified Enterprise Routing
and Switching-Professional.+ Maintenance, operations, and
troubleshooting in support of an operational networks, virtualized
computing environments, software, FEDRAMP cloud, and/or
applications. An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start.
Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and
must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified
information. Compensation The projected compensation range for this
position is $140,000.00 to $155,000.00 (annualized USD). Salary at
RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to
location, a candidate's specific combination of education,
knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as
contract-specific requirements. RMC employees may be subject to
current COVID protocol requirements in order to access government
facilities.
