Job Description:
Overview This position requires network architect/administration
expertise and Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF) Information Assurance
Technical (IAT) credentials. The primary role of network architect
requires intermediate to advanced network engineering expertise. To
include creating physical and logical network designs, and
implementation of network configurations. The secondary role of
system administrator with CSWF IAT certification shall provide
support for SPAWAR Systems Center (SSC) certification &
accreditation (C&A) processes. Requires a minimum of 7 years
experience in Network Engineering. Responsibilities Essential
Functions/Job Duties:Intermediate to Advanced Network Engineering
Expertise:Network Design Develop & document (MS Visio) detailed
network diagrams representative of physical and logical network
designs.Senior Network Engineer Provides intermediate to advanced
network administration to include design, development, and
maintenance of Information Technology (IT) infrastructures. Capable
of configuring a Layer 2/3 switch from a non configured state.
Independently maintains configuration, management, and optimizing
of routing protocols (e.g. OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, etc) Capable of
configuring IP Multicast, PIM Dense/Sparse Mode Capable of
configuring Network Services - NAT, DHCP and DNS Provide network
expertise in the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of
Navy Afloat Networking Systems (e.g. Automated Digital Network
System) Utilize network monitoring tools to analyze network
performance, usage (Quality of Service), traffic flows, access, and
interfaces. Develop network testing, maintenance, and training
manuals and documentation.Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF)
Information Assurance Technical (IAT): Independently provides
support with implementation requirements of the Cybersecurity
Workforce CSWF) Certification & Accreditation (C&A) processes
(e.g. STIGs, SCAPs). Create DIACAP submissions for new systems and
updatesfor pre-existing systems. Collect and review related
information security artifacts (i.e. certifications, test results,
configuration documentation) for C&A review. Execute patch
management, including installation of appropriate security
reinforcement measures and updates. Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications: Effective written and verbal communication
skills in the English language. Long distance (> 500 miles)
travel to other US Government and Contractor facilities. The
ability to execute the duties of the position independently and
with limited to no supervision. Knowledge of standard computer
based business tools (including but not limited to Microsoft Word
and Excel. The ability to use a personal computer and data entry
device (keyboard and mouse) on a constant basis. Regular attendance
to be performed on company premises or US government facilities
during regular business hours. Independently generates
documentation that presents ideas and/or information in a logical
manner. Able to organize the information and use the best methods
and/or formats for its delivery (e.g. Government instructions,
industry de-facto standards, etc.). Demonstrates clear and concise
written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Active communicator - giving full attention to what other people
are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking
questions as appropriate. Supports the briefing of mission
strategies, concepts, approaches, training, and status material in
various settings. U.S. Citizenship is required Security Clearance:
Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a
US Government security clearance, and will be subject to a US
security background investigation (i.e. favorable background
investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements
for access to various levels of classified information may also be
required. An active security clearance is highly desirable. TEA
