OptumServe helps federal agencies and communities across the nation tackle some of the biggest challenges in health care. We help our clients and the communities they serve prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and long-term public health challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Support approximately 30 team members to include: Business Analysts, Business Solutions Architects, Configuration Analysts, DevOps Engineers, Product Managers, Quality Engineers, Software Engineers, and Systems Analysts
  • Establish personal trust with employees to assist them with career goals and objectives
  • Research trends within the workplace and identify best practices to increase employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Build communication channels with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leaders to receive regular feedback on employee's domain knowledge and performance
  • Manage all hiring processes to include: conducting initial behavioral interviews, coordinating interviews with SMEs, managing the selection process, and recommending compensation packages
  • Work with the business segment liaison (BSL) to ensure new employees receive proper welcome kits and equipment
  • Oversee new employee onboarding to ensure it is completed on-time and effectively
  • Monitor employee PTO balances and utilization
  • Promote and track continuous learning and growth
  • Complete timesheet approvals and ensure compliance with Optum Serve time coding standards
  • Create and deliver annual reviews to include corrective action plans and incorporate essential feedback from colleagues, SMEs, and leaders
  • Manage both the voluntary and involuntary termination processes for employees

    Required Qualifications:


    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years of experience handling employee relations activities, including professional career development, hiring, and terminations
    • 1+ years of experience working closely with technology professionals or experience as a technology professional



      Preferred Qualifications:


      • National Career Readiness Certificate
      • 5+ years of experience handling employee relations activities, including professional career development, hiring, and terminations
      • 3+ years of experience working closely with technology professionals or experience as a technology professional
      • Demonstrated self-starter and holds self-accountable to work independently with little guidance
      • Proven communicator able to tailor their communication style to a variety of individuals
      • Demonstrated ability to build solid relationships and trust with a large amount of individuals

        California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island or Washington residents is $85,000 to $167,300. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
