As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enables the development of cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards.
Qualcomm's System Performance Team is responsible for optimizing and validating performance for Qualcomm Snapdragon Chipsets across all business units such as Mobile, Automotive, Compute, and IOT. In the role of System Performance Engineer, you will collaborate with software, hardware, and architecture teams to optimize power, performance, and thermal behavior of the SoC. You will leverage your advanced systems knowledge and experience to research, simulate, and validate performance and ensure product requirements are met.
This role bolsters the technical depth in the team, specifically the modem group and will work as a mentor to junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities

• 
  
• 
  Enable and profile complex concurrent system use-cases in both emulation and software environments (Android/Linux/Windows)
  
  
• 
  Identify areas of performance optimization in the SoC for both Software and Hardware architectures
  
  
• 
  Own and drive triage of complex performance issues to determine root-cause and present results to internal and external stakeholders
  
  
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, hardware and software engineering, etc.) to implement optimal power, performance, and thermal solutions
  Minimum Qualifications:
  Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

    Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

    Pay range:
    $138,800.00 - $208,200.00
    The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
