Informatics is an interdisciplinary field at the intersection of
biology, medicine, and quantitative sciences. Biomedical
Informatics researchers develop new methods to integrate and
analyze vast amounts of data generated in the laboratory, clinical
and translational research, clinical encounters, and population
studies.The goals of the Department of Biomedical Informatics
(DBMI) are to (1) promote excellence in biomedical informatics
research, (2) collaborate with biomedical researchers in developing
new quantitative methods that enable the formulation and testing of
original hypotheses, (3) train the next generation of biomedical
informatics specialists, and (4) interface with engineering,
mathematics, information and computer science communities, serving
as a hub for quantitative scientists focused on biomedical
research.This department leads multiple federally and non-profit
funded biomedical research projects, which are focused on the
integration, analysis, and sharing of biomedical and health care
data for the scientific community, as well as patient-centered
research. In addition, it runs several training programs, which
includes a T15 and T32 training grants.Applies acquired skills,
process, and policy knowledge to support professional health
education program learners. Coordinates program operations, which
include teaching and learning activities, program curriculum,
learner scheduling, maintaining databases, tracking learner
compliance, and training grants for pre-graduate and post-graduate
trainees.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Six (6) years of related experience, education/training, OR a
Bachelor's degree in related area plus two (2) years of related
experience/training.
- Basic knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory
requirements. Basic knowledge of health professions education
industry.
- Strong decision making skills and ability to use independent
judgment and discretion to quickly set priorities and establish new
procedures when needed. Ability to research, analyze, recommend,
communicate, and implement solutions. Must function independently
with minimal direction.
- Excellent organizational skills, analytical, and attention to
detail. Ability to work with extremely complex faculty calendars /
schedules requires extremely well organized and detail oriented
precision. Ability to manage a large volume of work efficiently and
meet deadlines with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
Ability to develop, organize, and track projects and coordinate
complex activities requiring a high level of accuracy and
meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills; includes verbal, written and
active listening. Service oriented and responsive to questions and
requests. Ability to interact in a professional, resourceful, and
courteous manner. Ability to manage a large volume of work
efficiently and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions and
changing priorities.
- Ability to develop, organize, and track projects and coordinate
complex activities requiring a high level of accuracy and
meticulous attention to detail.
- Basic knowledge of administrative analysis and operations
research. Acquiring skills in developing and implementing processes
and systems. Familiarity with the administrative and operational
implications in a program.
- Effective interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to develop
working relationships within department and with learners.
- Knowledge of educational technology and systems. Ability to
troubleshoot and triages related technology issues.
- Investigative, data analysis, and reporting skills. Ability to
generate computer reports, checking for errors, correcting and
submitting accurate reports. Skills include entering, maintaining,
extracting, and analyzing data in electronic systems.PREFERRED

- Experience with website content management.

ActAnnual Full Pay Range: $43,900 - $91,900 (will be prorated if
the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent:
$21.02 - $44.01 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation
for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities,
education, licensure and certifications, and other business and
organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job
posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University
reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay
Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay
for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective
bargaining agreements (when applicable). Job offer is contingent on
