Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Buyer.Position Type: Direct HireDuration: Full TimeLocation: San Diego, CA 92123 (Onsite)As a(n) Buyer you will:Major purpose: Maintains Supplier Management relationships daily with 10+ vendors.Communicates with suppliers the expected delivery timeframe of products and services.Relates key information to Internal customer so that they know the order and lead time status.Excellent verbal and written communication skills (email and phone).Major functions: Negotiates materials and services for best value daily, may provide multiple quotes.Manages backlogs to ensure on-time delivery.Responsible for procurement business data input and integrity of information.May double check invoices and purchase requisition content daily.Develops and manages the sourcing cycle process for services and materials.Accurate entry in SAP is critical. Responds to requisitions and department leaders as needed for delivery or changes.Develops and maintains Supplier relationships, contract administration, quoting process, PO follow through, and supply chain. May negotiate contracts and with legal team.Orders products and authorizes payment in a timely manner.Generates and ensures accuracy of purchase orders.Addresses and reports critical supply chain problems.Performs any other related duties as required or assigned.Technical/Functional skills: This position may require exposure to information subject to US export control regulations, i.e., the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).Education/Experience/Licenses etc.:4 years degree in related field AND one year of buying experience; OR four years of buying/ supply management experience.Written and verbal fluency in Japanese and EnglishAPICS CSCP or ISM CPSM certification preferred.Strong Excel skills and organizational skills.Ability to manage and evaluate quality of service.Ability to negotiate fairly and use an analytical approach.Deep knowledge of 1 or 2 commodities such as raw materials or electrical components.Knowledge of import/export process and requirements.Must be eligible to work in an ITAR environment.Travel may be up to 10%.The ideal candidate will have: Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
