Product Quality Assurance Specialist - DoD - Poway, CA -US
Citizen. Secret clearance/TS/SCI Full time position includes a

exceptional employees. In this role you will provide full spectrum
Quality Assurance (QA) support for the USAF Medium Altitude
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (MAUAS) Division at designated government
and commercial facilities in the Palmdale, California, area. DCS is
an employee-owned company focused on providing engineering,
programmatic, and technical support services to the Department of
Defense and other national security customers. This position
requires on-site work at General Atomics corporate facilities and
various government support locations. Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates efforts between Air Force Life Cycle Management Center
(AFLCMC) Det 3 and Program Office (PO) to lead/operating command
and production contractors/subcontractors. Makes process
recommendations to synthesize and refine field-identified
operational needs, and supports the translation of identified needs
into clearly defined contractual requirements. Reviews production,
test, delivery, sustainment, and logistics support for the MQ-9
weapon systems, and identifies potential risks, issues, etc. for
Government consideration. Interfaces with Air Force Test Center
(AFTC) departments to facilitate timely and accurate test support.
Supports test activities with recommendations during development of
requirements and provides customer feedback to include risks,
concerns, recommendations for development, and integrations of new
capabilities. Provides quality control reviews for the MQ-9 weapon
systems' procedures and maintenance manuals and customer feedback
regarding risks, concerns, recommendations for future needs, etc.,
for Government consideration to ensure manuals are accurate and
meet user's needs. Translates operating command requirements for
the MQ-9 weapon systems into technical system specifications.
Provides advisory assistance for the review of contractor proposals
for sufficiency, breadth of scope, ease of manufacture, and value
to the Government. Manages platform standardization of design and
system development for equipment on the MQ-9 weapon systems.
Assists in managing Time Compliance Technical Orders and Temporary
Modifications for Depot and fielded MQ-9 weapon systems equipment.
Provides timely logistics and product/quality assurance
recommendations to AFLCMC Det 3 and PO for consideration. Supports
the installation/checkout of Quick Reaction Capability or other
rapid fielding requirements for the MQ-9 weapon systems. Ensures
configuration control of the MQ-9 weapon systems is maintained and
performs periodic reviews of drawings and manuals to ensure the
items reflect the latest configuration. Required Skills: Due to the
sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is
required. A High School Diploma or GED plus 20 years of directly
related aviation test operations experience, 8 of which must be in
the DoD, a BA/BS degree and 15 years of experience, 5 of which must
be in the DoD or a MA/MS and 12 years of experience, of which 5
must be in the DoD. A fully adjudicated DoD Secret security
clearance (SSBI/T5/T5R within the preceding five calendar years) is
required on the First Day of employment. Advanced knowledge,
experience, and recognized ability to be considered a QA expert.
Possess the ability to perform tasks and oversee the efforts of
junior and journeyman personnel within the QA discipline.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the QA discipline as well as
possess a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply
associated security standards, procedures, and practices. Possess
the knowledge, experience, and demonstrated ability to perform QA
and have a demonstrated ability to work independently and apply the
proper procedures and process related to QA. Proven ability to
problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop
successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines.
Must be detail oriented and able to work within specified
deadlines. Clear ability to take ownership of issues and pursue
potential resolutions through to completion. Able to work both
