challenges. DESCRIPTION As a Civil Associate II, you will
contribute to projects that involve a broad range of disciplines,
including Hydrology and Hydraulics (H&H) analysis, watershed
and water quality modeling, BMP design, GIS analysis, and data
analysis and visualization among others. The Civil Associate will
also assist the project manager with other project-related tasks
including task budget and schedules, participating in client
meetings, and assisting in developing project proposals. The ideal
candidate will demonstrate excellent technical ability and
willingness to work on multi-disciplinary projects individually and
as part of the team. Below is a list of desired qualifications for
this position:
- Experience with various H&H modeling tools including
PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and TR-55.
- Experience with geospatial processing and drafting tools
including ArcGIS, and AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with watershed and water quality modeling tools
including HSPF, LSPC, EFDC, SWAT, QUAL2K, and SUSTAIN
- Ability to support Stormwater and Green Infrastructure concept
design projects, CIP design projects, and evaluate the feasibility
of alternative design approaches, site conditions, and regulatory
agency specifications or regulations
- Proficiency in preparing project reports including engineering
calculations, planning, and drafting technical engineering reports,
research, and data entry
- Familiarity with Design Drainage Manuals and Stormwater
Standards in Southern California
- Strong attention to details and demonstrated ownership and
accountability of work
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Capability to work in a dynamic environment, including
willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing
priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate and collaborate with professionals in
different disciplines, which may include planners, scientists, and
engineers. PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- A four- year Bachelor's (required), or Master's (preferred)
degree in civil engineering, hydrology, environmental science or
related degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in related water resources
engineering projects -
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification strongly
preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) in California preferred but not
required, the ability to obtain within 12 months is strongly
recommended - COMPENSATIONThe salary range for this position -is
$70,000-$106,000. - - This will be dependent on the experience and
