Description Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Marine Pipefitters for projects located in and around San Diego, CA . This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is up to $36/hour for local workers and up to $28/hour plus $130/per diem for travelers of 60+ miles from the job site based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Weld on naval vessels; new construction Install & maintain ships Install piping systems; hydraulic, air pressure, and oil lines Follow blueprints, layouts, and work orders Utilize hand tools & shop machines Operate shop machines to cut & thread pipe & pipe fittings such as valves, traps, and thermostats Bend pipe to specified shape, bolt on pipe-bending fixtures, bolts, or weld brackets to support pipe system Cut bend weld braze grind and/or burn pipes to fit and connect for shipboard installation Connect pipes to fixtures such as heat exchangers, laundry, tanks, etc. Repair packs & adjust valves Test installed systems for leaks & to ensure that system meets specifications Perform other related tasks as assigned Requirements: 5+ years of Pipefitting experience 2+ years of experience of experience must be Shipyard Brazing US or Naturalized Citizen; Proof of Citizenship Drug Screen & Background Check Marine OSHA 10; TI offers course for qualified Employees who have yet to obtain the certification Basic Hand Tools for the Trade Pass Assessment & Pipe Test Proper PPE Maritime Respirator Fit & Firewatch certification Ability to Read, Interpret and Work from Blueprints Able to Work from Standard and Metric Specifications Company Details Tradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
