Come build your career with us.BAE Systems is looking for a an experienced, self-motivated ML/AI developer to work on a multi-disciplinary Independent Research and Development (IRaD) team in an Agile, fast-paced development environment. The qualified candidate will perform ML/AI engineering analysis, design, and development tasks in support of software development of ML/AI applications. Assigned tasks include matching ML/AI techniques to mission needs, selection of algorithm training vs data sources, developing prototypes that meet mission needs, working with customers and other team members, preparing user interface mock-ups, preparing technical documentation in Jira and confluence, generation of agile capabilities & user stories, backlog prioritization and management, sprint planning, customer engagement, to achieve IRaD objectives.This work requires access to TS/SCI information and spaces.Employee Benefits: At BAE Systems, we support our employees in all aspects of their life, including their health and financial well-being. • Must have a Top Secret/SCI security clearance
• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering/technical discipline, and 6+ years related experience in ML/AI development
• Domain experience related to IC missions
• Experience with data analysis as related to ML/AI training concepts
• Experience with capabilities-level design of RESTful web services
• Understanding of User Interface design and development practices
• Experience working directly with customers and end users in the DoD and/or Intelligence Community
• Experience with Agile management tools (e.g., Jira, etc.)
• Team player with a proactive attitude and the ability to be productive in a dynamic/collaborative environmentPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces and geospatial data
  • Proficient analyzing customer needs, and identifying user stories and technical tasks to achieve various Agile objectives and iterative development schedules
  • Motivated self-starter with good problem solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
  • Ability to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Good planning and organizational skillsPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
