Job Title: Prototype Assembler, Senior
Location: San Diego, CA 92121
Duration: 3+ Months
Shift: M-F, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM PST (Flexible for earlier shift)


Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Prototype Assembler, Senior, to join our team. This role involves working in a dynamic engineering prototype environment where you will be responsible for assembling complex electronic prototypes and components. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in soldering, mechanical assembly, and the use of assembly tools and equipment. You will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and functionality of prototypes by interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  
• Assemble and test electronic prototypes and components using advanced electronic training and tools.
  
• Use reflow machines and handle commercial devices for assembly tasks.
  
• Perform detailed soldering and mechanical assembly, including chassis, rack, cable, and harness assemblies.
  
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, wire lists, sketches, and schematics.
  
• Utilize assembly tools and equipment efficiently to produce high-quality prototypes.
  
• Conduct cable fabrication and X-ray inspections as needed.
  
  Required Skills:
  
  
  
• Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in an engineering prototype environment.
  
• Advanced electronic training or experience in an engineering setting.
  
• Proficiency in the use of assembly tools and equipment.
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, wire lists, sketches, and schematics.
  
• Experienced in soldering and mechanical assembly (chassis, rack, cable, and harness assemblies).
