Systems is seeking a senior systems engineer with at least 8 years
of engineering experience and at least 2 years of recent systems
engineering specific experience in system design, system
architecture, requirements management and cloud architectures to
join a team environment on a distributed program. Assigned tasks
may include analysis of needs, the development of Concepts of
Operations (CONOPS), working with customers and other team members,
preparing user interface mock-ups, technical documentation in Jira
and confluence, generation of agile capabilities & user stories,
backlog prioritization and management, sprint planning, customer
engagement, close interaction with software and system test
engineers on the team to achieve program objectives, and
architecture views development in MBSE. Perform analysis and tasks
at concurrent stages to include technical planning, system design,
software implementation, system integration, verification and
validation. Because of the need for intermittent in-person
collaboration and/or the requirement to perform a portion of work
onsite, this position will be considered hybrid. This means work
will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility as well as

Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a computer/engineering related
field
- Engineering experience (at least 8 years)
- System's Engineering experience (at least 2 recent years)
- Must hold an active Secret clearance
- Must have experience working on Cloud programs, preferably
AWS
- Motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities
- The ability to engage constructively with peers and technical
leads to communicate the technical approach, trade-offs, and
technical decisions
- Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Understanding and application of modern software development
and systems engineering practices, design principles, techniques,
and technologies
- Highly motivated and able to work well in both team and solo
settings
- Knowledge of open, standards-based architectures, interfaces
and geospatial dataPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Excellent team player who is willing to contribute in any
capacity
- Able to deliver in agile sprint cycles
- Ability to innovate, evaluate and research new technologies
while staying abreast of industry trends
- SAFE for Teams certified
- Full Life-Cycle Systems Engineering Development experience
- Experience with issue tracking systems such as JIRA or
GitLab
- Experience with end-user acceptance testing
- Experience using Cameo or MagicDraw for MBSE developmentPay
InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270Please note:
This range is based on our market pay structures. However,
individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors
including, but not limited to: business considerations, local
market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate
qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. Employee
