Job Description:
A company is looking for a Clearance Specialist to support
Specialty Infusion Pharmacy needs remotely in the Mountain Standard
Time Zone.
Key Responsibilities
Process new referrals by verifying patient eligibility and
documenting insurance coverage
Calculate estimated patient financial responsibility and secure
prior authorizations
Communicate with patients and referral sources regarding referral
status and coverage updates
Required Qualifications and Education
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience in home infusion acute pharmacy or
medical intake/reimbursement preferred
Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care
reimbursement guidelines
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations
Basic skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
