About The Opportunity
Under minimal supervision, coordinates preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract requirements are met. This includes B/P dimension al inspection and visual requirements as well as traceability and pedigree of hardware and paperwork. Typically responsible for product release including inspection and shipping parts acting on behalf of the Customer as the release agent (i.e., DSQR, DCQR, etc.).
Reviews and verifies project documents for completeness, format and compliance with contract requirements. Compiles and verifies proper and accurate documentation for part prior to shipping. Submits project documentation on behalf of the Customer and transmits approved documents to customer. Audits processes to ensure compliance with appropriate procedures, practices and customer specifications. Reviews, evaluates and dispositions internal company documents, such as NCRs, tool orders, Bill of Materials, drawings, material testing requisitions, etc. Releases product(s) for shipment, representing the customer i.e. designated supplier quality representative (DSQR), quality assurance supplier representative (QASR), etc. Assists QEs in preparing First Article packages including Ballooning Drawings, Specifications, and using the AS9102 First Article format. Maintains a clean work environment (including assigned storage and cleaning duties) in full compliance with company standards, customer and government regulations. Assists in the development and maintenance of a business culture, which supports the Company's overall business objectives and goals, in issues that involve cost, quality, process, schedule and people. . Ensures the company's commitment to maintain a safe workplace and to protect the environment through the establishment and support of Company policy and adherence to various government regulations. Fully complies with the "GKN Aerospace, Inc. Policy Statement on Contracting with the United States Government" in all areas of responsibility involving direct and indirect contracting with the United States Government. Performs other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
4 year degree is preferred or ASQC Quality Engineer certification or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience & Qualifications
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of a QC Inspector III minimally.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand blueprints, Customer Specifications, Customer P.Os, attend Customer training and successfully acquire Customer Release agent status.
Demonstrated ability to learn quality systems and procedures and exhibit commitment to quality performance in all aspects of each task performed.
Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
