Description SAIC currently has an opening for an Electronics Maintenance Technician II--in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities and Duties: Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and sub-assemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditionsUnder routine supervision, performs a variety of semi-complex electro/mechanical tasks in the build up and assembly of chassis, power supplies, PCBs, cables and backplane assemblies.Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.Receives little instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments. Qualifications Required Experience and Education: High school education or equivalent and 4+ years of related work experience.US Citizen who must be able to obtain an Interim DOD Secret Clearance within 120 days of hire.-- Must be able to obtain a Full DOD Secret within 12 months of hire date. Active DoD clearance accepted.Experience working with hand tools, read blue prints and drawings.Organized, self-motivated with years of experience fabricating, installing and testing mechanical and electrical systems for commercial and military products.--Exceptional ability to communicate with people at all levels of the company.---- Desired Qualifications--Previous work on installing and routing cables on Navy rack systems.
