Temporary Opportunity for a Sr. Calibration Technician at a Biologics CRO in San Diego, CA. This role is like a Field Service Engineer, this position will be working on high level calibrations, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot instrumentation and equipment used in a laboratory or manufacturing plant. This is a full time, day shift opportunity. Competitive pay and no travel needed.Responsibilities:* Perform assigned preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment, and report changes or repairs needed. Instrument types include but are not limited to: * Calibration: Lab timers, thermometers / data loggers, water baths, pressure / vacuum gauges, syringe pumps, balances, viscometers, centrifuges etc.* Update equipment history, process, document, and report results of all work performed* Provide support to contractors, vendors, and scientists in a manner consistent with established work practices and quality standards. May be called upon to provide Vendor/OEM escorts for specialty repairs.* Create, write and revise procedures and document templates as necessary to aid in GMP documentation of maintenance, calibration and qualification activities.Requirements* Candidates may have any combination of the following: * AA/AS degree in a laboratory science or better* 5+ years working with in a GMP environment* U.S. Marine Corps TMDE or Air Force PMEL training or equivalentWhy Kelly--?Kelly-- Science & Clinical is your connection to premier scientific and clinical companies looking to hire talented people just like you.
