Job Description:

SUMMARY: The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for the architecting, designing, and validating all electronic aspects of Mesa Biotech products. The Engineer is additionally responsible for any software and/or firmware development. The position touches all phases of the development process, including creation of requirements, specifications, risk assessment, conceptualization, V&V, vendor management, as well as support of R&D and Operations team needs. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Brainstorming and evaluation of conceptual product designs
• Electronics architecture and design including schematic capture
• Design of printed circuit boards
• Bill of Materials generation and maintenance
• Software and firmware development
• Verification and validation planning and execution
• Specifications, design, and development of production equipment
• Vendor management
• R&D inventory management
• Assist in the drafting of product manufacturing SOPs
• Development of fixtures and equipment to support production efforts
• Engineering support for R&D efforts
• Responsible for the management of electro-mechanical technicians
  KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:
  • Expertise in power and controls circuitry, both analog and digital
  • Expertise in the development of Software and embedded firmware
  • Proficient in embedded microcontroller methods and applications
  • Proven track record of successful hands-on designs
  • Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes including rigid and flexible PCB manufacture
  • Ability to relate and work well with people
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
    • Minimum 10 years of product development experience
    • Bachelor's in electrical engineering preferred, or related discipline
