Production Chemist - San Diego, CAKelly Scientific has an exciting opportunity for a Production Chemist to work with one of our top clients in San Diego, CA whose focus is on solid state synthesis!Shift: 3--x 12 schedule: Monday - Wednesday OR Thursday-Saturday 6:00 am to 7:00 pm--(overtime pay)Duties and Responsibilities:

• Synthesize peptides
• HF or TFA cleavage of peptides from resin.
• Analyze crude peptides and interpret generated MS data.
• Make necessary purification buffers.
• Purify peptides using directed protocols.
• Exchange peptides to the appropriate salt.
• Weigh out the products and packing.
• Operate within the GMP guidelines
• Remove all waste from production area.
• Ensure that all waste containers are properly labeled.
• Adhere to policies and support management decisions in a positive, professional manner.
• Troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Represent with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Completing SOP, MD, production plan, variances and deviations with minimum assistance.----------------------------------------------QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry
  • Minimum 2--years' experience in peptide purification preferably in an industry setting
