This position could be located in San Diego, CA / Goleta, CA / Beltsville, MD / Commerce, CA.Responsibilities:
    • Develops RFQ utilizing Specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services
    • Prepares bid packages, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates PO provisions, administers resulting PO and ensure on time delivery
    • Manages performance of Purchase Orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures including import/export regulations
    • Coordinates and collaborates with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, planning, operations, program and end-users
    • In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
    • Identifies strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through proactive supplier management
    • Utilizes process tools such as Lean Six Sigma with suppliers to drive quality, efficiency and continuous improvement
    • Reviews and approves supplier payment as neededBasic Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited institution
      • 2+ years of professional experience in Supply Chain Management or related fields/ 0 years' with a Master's for a level 2; or 6+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management or related fields/ 4 years' experience with a Master's for a level 3
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking and innovative behaviors in past projects, roles or experiences
      • Proficiency in MS Office suitePreferred Qualifications:
        • Professional experience in a regulated industry; to include Aerospace & Defense, Insurance, Financial Services, Telecommunications
        • Experience procuring in an NPI / concurrent engineering environment
        • Experience in machining, forgings, extrusions or raw material commodities.
        • Leads negotiations with suppliers
        • Ability to read technical drawings and documents
        • Knowledge of government contracting requirements and regulations (e.g. FAR, DFARS, ITAR, etc.)
        • Master's Degree in Business or Supply Chain

          Salary Range: 1 - 1

          Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
