    What youll be doing:

    Reporting to the Associate Director of Managed Services, the ServiceNow Platform Architect fulfills the role of the technical platform lead and oversees the delivery of technical solutions and processes for Casks Managed Services team. The Platform Architect is a technical leader who provides consultative leadership to the Platform Support Team, assures platform alignment to business strategy, and governance decisions. Overall, the ServiceNow Platform Architect has strong technical abilities, a sound understanding of business strategy and policies that govern the ServiceNow platform, and possesses advanced ServiceNow knowledge and skill. This position must regularly interface with all levels of customer stakeholders as well as every role on the Cask team. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are vital to success in the role. Understanding user requirements and being able to translate them into the technical solutions that aligns with customer expectations, requires the ability to listen, interpret, strategize and communicate. The role also requires a broad and deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform and best-practices pertaining to the implementation and configuration of its various applications and modules.
    • Provide subject matter expertise, act as technical product advocate, design, develop and implement solutions on the ServiceNow platform
    • Work with key stakeholders to assess needs and deliver the right solution to help solve business problems
    • Lead virtual meetings with customers and provide valuable consultation specific to their business needs and ServiceNow environment
    • Research and evaluate alternative solutions and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solutions
    • Translate requirements into functional and technical requirements
    • Coordinate with in-person and remote team members (both on-shore and off-shore), to drive technical work
    • Maintain delivery schedules, adhere to SLAs and regularly communicate task status to key stakeholders
    • Provide QA testing of technical configurations including reading and evaluating code
    • Facilitate demonstrations and knowledge transfer sessions with the customer
    • Promote update sets and configurations through ServiceNow instances.
    • Coach and mentor administrators and developers
    • Lead workshops and consultations focused on ITSM, ITIL, ServiceNow platform governance and capabilities
    • Provide a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of customers and Cask admins
    • Evaluation of new features and produce comprehensive analysis and recommendations
    • Manage and participate in platform upgrades
    • Ability to travel up to 10%
    • Facilitates collaboration between Support team and Dev teams to ensure technical issues and enhancements are handled in alignment with overall platform strategy and best practices
    • Provides technical and governance oversight to deployments
    • Assists the Support team with troubleshooting and identifying complex platform issues
    • Defines the Platform Governance Process, which contains the cloning, upgrades, user administration, and release processes
    • Lead ServiceNow platform capability configuration efforts
    • Lead ServiceNow platform administration configuration efforts
    • Creates & maintains a detailed view of existing architecture
    • Aligns ServiceNow platform capabilities to business strategy and ServiceNow roadmap
    • Architectural controls and analysis of impacts for new requirements
    • Stays current on ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues offline and in front of customers
    • Serve as primary technical and strategic point-of-contact for customers and Cask teams
    • Act as key interface between the Cask development team and the customer
    • Define the technical practices and strategy for delivery and execution for specific ServiceNow product lines.
    • Facilitate technical stage gates for Casks project management methodology.
    • Define and approve templates for technical solutions that align with a majority of clients business problems. This includes, but not limited to, solution design docs, architectural docs, and process flow docs.
    • Define and approve base stories / success packs for specific ServiceNow product lines by collecting information from industries, NowCreate, and successful implementations.
    • Capable of executing hands-on development for stories that cannot be delegated
    • Responsible for documentation, and templates of release notes as required
    • Provide mentorship to administrators and platform engineers on technical design standards and administration best practices
    • Proactively maintain expert knowledge and understanding of the latest ServiceNow platform and product offerings
    • Provide general guidance and support to Solution Architects.
    • Writes and presents regularly in the form of blogs, community repositories, white papers, and webinars to help promote those offerings they are most knowledgeable about.
    • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
    • Provide thought leadership on the ServiceNow ecosystem and the use of the Now Platform in a way that aligns with the Casks strategy, vision, best practices, and customer success.
    • Establish relationships with key stakeholders, senior leadership, and practice leads to develop technical best practices, gather content, and develop materials
    • Presides over the technical governance board and is involved in all governance components
    • Articulate and logically communicate concepts with technical and non-technical audiences

      What youll bring to the table:
      • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in technology and business
      • 4+ years experience working on the ServiceNow platform
      • 3+ years experience working within a consulting or managed services environment
      • ServiceNow certifications including: Certified System Admin, Custom Application Development, and at least one Certified Implementation Specialist cert
      • Strong understanding of ServiceNow administration and development practices
      • Must be able to learn new applications and tools quickly
      • Proficiency in Javascript comprehension is a plus
      • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to describe technical solutions in business terms
      • Familiarity with ITIL Service Management
      • Working knowledge Microsoft Office products
      • Experience with FedRamp or government customers is a plus
      • Other ServiceNow certifications are a plus
      • CMDB and ITOM experience is a plus
      • Service Portal experience is a plus
      • Must be able to attain public trust security clearance
