outlines the objective, primary responsibilities, requirements, and
qualifications of the Ascent Credit Risk Analyst.Objective: The
Credit Risk Analyst will analyze loan performance data to provide
meaningful credit and business insights through presentation and
dashboard building. This is a key role that collaborates across
departments to analyze portfolio risk and product performance. We
are looking to extend our Corportae Strategy team with resources
from several levels of experience. We will find the right role
based on your background.Our ideal candidate would:
- Be responsible for the risk analytics of our various lending
products
- Assist with the development of credit policies for new lending
products and continuously iterate to improve credit product
approval criteria, line assignment and pricing strategies including
renewals
- Collaborate with various data teams to build data
infrastructure and establish reporting dashboards that will help
senior management understand credit risk trends and exposures
- Leverage external and internal data to build credit models and
policies in partnership with our Data Science team
- Work with cross functional teams across the company to measure
the impact of lending products on their businesses and also help
them out on their analytical needs
- Build and maintain scalable reporting from the ground-up using
Python/SQL/Excel/Tableau
- Actively maintain and report on key performance indicators
- Presents findings and analysis to an executive audience Desired
Skills & Expertise:
- Bachelor's Degree required in Finance, Economics, Engineering,
Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or another quantitative
field.
- 2+ years of experience required as Business Analyst, Data
Analyst or Credit Risk Analyst
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL query
authoring
- Enjoy working in cross-functional teams and reporting up to
senior management
- Exceptional analytic and strategic thinking skills related to
working with structured and unstructured data sets
- Experience with:
- Consumer Lending
- Credit Risk
- Loan Portfolio Monitoring
- Accessing and building complex data setsBonus points if you
have:
- Past consumer finance experience and / or banking
experience
- Experience in credit risk; underwriting and ongoing risk
management
- MBA or master's degree in a quantitative fieldCompetitive pay
