Job Description:
Position Description: -Oversee and direct all Commissioning (Cx)
activities. - Field implementation associated to commissioning of
all Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection & Special
Systems (MEPF/SS) systems. This includes but not limited to back
checking systems design and installation to ensure performance
parameters requirements are met, start up, pre-functional testing,
and functional testing. This is inclusive of all scheduling for the
responsibilities listed. -Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Specifically relating to the mechanical and electrical systems
(e.g. HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Low- Voltage, Fire
Sprinkler)
- Develop and maintain relationships with engineers, design
consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and owner's
representatives to ensure alignment with client goals and
expectations from initiation to completion of the project.
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the contract
documents (including Turner's contract, plans, specifications and
applicable codes).
- Lead, supervise and develop Turner Cx staff, including
providing input on or completing performance appraisals.
- Oversee daily activities of Engineer-Cx, Superintendent-Cx, and
subordinates.
- Manage MEPF/SS Cx, quality, safety, engineering, coordination,
scheduling, with regards to commissioning, and close-out
processes.
- Work with the MEPF/SS group in transitioning from construction
into and through start up, commissioning, and close-out.
- This will include interfacing on commissioning with PM's and
Superintendents for other disciplines that require commissioning
such as vertical transportation, building envelope, etc..
- Tracking and reporting out of all constraints that prohibit Cx
from commencing.
- Interfacing with the owner's Cx and Trade Contractor's team(s)
on a regular basis. Holding and attending all required meetings to
provide a fully commissioned building on schedule.
- Anticipated subordinate staff is roughly 6 people. Once Cx is
underway there will be support from other staff.

Requirements:Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and minimum 10 years' experience with
progressively more responsible exposure to design, cost, sequence,
logistics and field installations of Mechanical and Electrical
systems or equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Able to identify design features that command cost premiums and
recommend alternatives that deliver comparable or improved
function.
- Demonstrated ability to present technical material.
- LEED accreditation not required but would be beneficial.
- Very strong oral and written communication skills
required.
- Strong computer skills and a familiarity with Microsoft Office
Suite of programs.
- Knowledge of project management and scheduling software
desirable.
- Ability to implement leading-edge technologies to benefit the
project.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.Physical
