Job DescriptionThe Inventory Specialist, Manufacturing and Tech
Transfer, will be responsible for tracking, issuing, and
controlling materials/requisitions/purchase orders to ensure a
controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet laboratory
requirements. ELEMENTS:Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of inventory
experience or an equivalent combination of education and
experience.
- Proven practical experience purchasing and maintaining
inventory in a manufacturing/CLIA/scientific research
environment.
- Thorough knowledge of procurement, supplier relations and
inventory management
- Familiar with GMP's, product specifications incoming inspection
procedures
- Demonstrated computer skills using Word, Excel (including
working knowledge of functions, formulas, pivot tables, etc.),
PowerPoint, etc.
- Full compliance to business, quality, and regulatory
requirements
- APICS Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) a
plusCommunication Skill:
- Effective verbal and written communication, analytical and
interpersonal skills. Maintains accurate and detailed records of
operations.Interpersonal Skill:
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interface well with
cross-functional teammates
- Works effectively in a team environment; establishes effective
relationships with supervisor and team members.

FUNCTIONS:
- Collaborating with business partners in Laboratory Operations,
Assay Development, Quality, Finance, and Commercial to reduce
disruptions to material flow and ensure material availability to
support production requirements
- Analyzing demand for assigned parts and ensuring a balanced
level of supply to meet the demand
- Accurate, timely, and proactive communication of material
supply status to laboratory management
- Manage and track inventory supply and needs; perform routine
cycle count reconciliation
- Work within the Operations team and with external vendors to
ensure timely and efficient manufacturing and shipment of
collection kits to our customers
- Monitor and communicate order status for categories assigned.
Follow-up, track and expedite deliveries as needed
- Support new/revised material qualification efforts, including
tech transfer projects, by gathering information and placing
purchase orders in relevant purchasing systems
- Drive the discovery and implementation of cost savings related
to categories assigned
- Support complex continuous improvement and quality activities
such as process and procedure improvements through the change
control procedure
- May assist during internal and external inspections to ensure
compliance with applicable federal, state, local regulations and
company standards
- Responsible for supporting a positive, professional,
