As a Senior Compliance Analyst with us, you will monitor regulator requests and contract deliverables to ensure compliance with accurate and timely responses to our Medicaid Regulators. You will be an integral part of our C&S Compliance Regulatory Account Management Team. This is a place that will bring out the best in you! The Senior Compliance Analyst will be responsible for supporting regulatory audit activities. This individual will be responsible for driving best practices across the company to promote compliance with regulatory audit processes. The Audit Management Department is seeking a confident and analytical professional to join its team. Audit Management leads and coordinates regulatory audits for UnitedHealthcare's Medicare, Medicaid and some Commercial business. The Senior Compliance Analyst will be primarily responsible for managing regulatory/external audit activity, including but not limited to audit deliverable coordination, on-site audit coordination and management, and mock audit activities. Regulatory audits include those from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Office of Inspector General, General Accountability Office, State Medicaid agencies, Departments of Insurance, and other regulators responsible for oversight. - This role requires collaboration with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, therefore candidates should demonstrate skillful communication, flexibility, and conflict resolution skills. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all aspects of regulatory audits (i.e., pre-site deliverables, mock audits, on-site visits and logistics, written responses to audit reports)
  • Document, retain, report and clearly articulate audit-related information (i.e., scope, findings, recommendations, corrective action plans, and status) and documentation to Compliance and business operations leadership
  • Manage multiple audits and collaborate across multiple business segments to gather needed information for regulatory audits
  • Develop compliance communications and drive issue resolutions
  • Analyze, understand and articulate regulatory and contractual requirements and apply identified requirements to business operations when supporting regulatory/external audits -
  • Educate Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial business partners on regulatory audit processes as needed
  • Manage, track and report regulatory audits
  • Coordinate with Legal Counsel as needed
  • Perform additional duties as requested or required by management

    • Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
    • 3+ years of experience in compliance, privacy and/or regulatory affairs or with supporting audits in a highly regulated industry; preferably a government, health care or managed care environment
    • Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Live within the vicinity of this career opportunity, telecommuting may be considered
    • Willing to travel a maximum of 25% nationally

The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 to $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
