Summary
The purpose of this position is to coordinate Repositioning Dispatch operation with various carriers, including dedicated truck & cargo shippers to ensure timely shipments movement for outbound operations while maximizing dedicated truck capacity aligning with Glovis standards and Hyundai Translead's expectations.
Compensation
$62,409-$76,278/Annually
Responsibilities

  • Develop & Implement policies / SOP to ensure efficient carrier utilization for repositioning movements
    • Plan pre-determined routes & carrier capacity utilization
    • Manage all aspects of dispatching process, including carrier KPI management, training, scheduling, monitoring performance, and responding to customer complaints
    • Monitor communication with all related parties to ensure timely transportation movements
    • Coordinate daily/weekly/monthly workload to each responsible carrier.
    • Maintain proper records to track & trace movement data ( document productivity )
    • Manage carriers to minimize in-transit damages and reduce usage of more expensive carriers.
    • Analyze and identify opportunities to save freight costs in the supply chain process.
      • Support with all data reconciliation with proprietary systems such as TMS.
      • Daily shipment status communication/ update with cargo shippers and carriers
      • Shipment data entry & report generation.
      • Troubleshoot any issues pertaining to Repositioning transaction
      • Create rate proposals, and provide customer support.
      • Perform internal functions to assist other departments in order to review and resolve discrepancies and fulfill customer needs including POD auditing, profit & loss reporting, and perform root cause analysis and establish corrective actions to avoid repetitive occurrences.
        • Recommend and implement strategies to continually improve department performance.

          • Strong verbal and written communication skills Required
          • Proficient In PC Skills (MS Office-Excel, Work, Power Point, Outlook, Database Management Systems) Required
          • Excellent organizational and time management skills Required
          • Bilingual in Spanish or Korean Preferred
          • Dispatch operation experience Preferred Education and Experience
            • Bachelors Degree Required
            • Seven (7) - Ten (10) Years of direct and Three (3) years of indirect experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Required
            • Eight (8)- Thirteen (13) Years Preferred Physical Requirements
              • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
              • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
              • Use of operating desk machines such as PC, printer, and faxes
