We now have a national presence with current projects over $500M, spanning coast to coast. We are a full-service Design-Build company. We offer management of projects throughout the United States, with our field operations' team members who work on location for each of our projects. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense (DoD) market. We have a growing Mechanical and Plumbing Division with all installations happening on the East Coast on existing military installations.

We are looking for a Mechanical Preconstruction Project Manager candidate to join our Mechanical Pre-Construction Team located in our headquarter office in Carlsbad, CA. Remote work will be considered. Our Mechanical PPCM's are responsible for the direction, and coordination of all mechanical preconstruction activities to produce quality work, within project requirements, targeted budget, schedule, and in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values. This position may also assist the Mechanical Department Leader as required with other scopes of work. Local and remote candidates will be considered. Salary (DOE: $85K-$95K, annually). • A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
• Courses in project management, construction management, mechanical trade school, BIM and CADD, etc. preferred.
• A combined total of 10+ years in the mechanical industry with 5 or more years work experience as a mechanical Project Manager / Preconstruction. Experience creating conceptual estimates and managing design for mechanical and plumbing systems highly desirable; Work in the design-build government, military, or large commercial construction industry is preferred.
• Computer literacy (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Primavera P6) preferred. Training can be provided.
• Specific software literacy (BIM) preferred. Training can be provided.
