Analyst - TS/SCIKBR is seeking a -Senior Space Vehicle Sustainment
Analyst to support the Narrowband Satellite Communications program
at Space Systems Command. This professional will review each Mobile
User Objective System (MUOS) space vehicle's State of Health Report
and evaluate trend performance, investigate negative trends, and
propose mitigating options. MUOS is a United States Space Force
narrowband military communications satellite system that supports a
worldwide, multi-service population of users in the ultra-high
frequency bandRole and Responsibilities:
- Works high-visibility, mission critical aspects of programs and
performs all functional duties independently- oversees and
responsible for efforts of subordinates
- Participate in on-orbit investigations by providing risk
assessments and recommendations
- Participate in design reviews, integration and test readiness
reviews, manufacturing and production readiness reviews and
functional and physical configuration audits for space
vehicles.
- Provide technical oversight during unit, subsystem, and vehicle
level testing and review the test reports for defects and
non-compliances dispositions
- Track and trend trouble tickets
- Assess flight software and command/telemetry database changes,
and support the associated design reviews and validation testing
prior to release for upload
- Track space vehicle configurations and update reliability and
availability predictions
- Analyze system data logs, call records, performance data, call
completion metrics, beam carrier loading, trending, and outage
reports
- Develop plans and improvements to call reliability and limit
outages and congestion
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical
accuracy-oral and writtenRequired skills:
- Minimum ten (10) years DoD/IC, or relevant industry work
experience on SATCOM
- Technical expertise of spacecraft components (e.g. materials,
mechanisms), subsystems (e.g. propulsion, Telemetry, Tracking &
Control (TT&C)), Guidance Navigation & Control (GN&C)),
flight software and specialty engineering (e.g. EMI,
acoustic/vibration dynamics) and systems (e.g. whole satellites,
constellations)
- Experience providing orbital analysis support, including
collision avoidance, visualization, station keeping, and
relocation
- Experience with space vehicle's State of Health Report and
evaluation of trend performance, investigation of negative trends,
and proposal of mitigating options
- Experience with engineering support for "big data" analytics to
improve operational awareness and efficiency
- Experience with operational support and sustainment products
including On Orbit Handbooks, Operational Perform Files, and IETM
procedures Understanding of NBSC operational environment and
corresponding mission user needs
- Experience supporting satellite control systems, facilities,
and their interfaces
- Experience with Integrated Master Schedules, and risk
management
- Experience with Statements of Work (SOW) and Performance Work
Statements (PWS)Desired skills:
- Relevant DoD and/or Industry work experience in
SATCOM/MUOS
- Advisory and Assistance Service (A&AS) to Government
program office
- Experience with space and/or multi-domain warfighter
operations
- Experience with ACAT I/II level acquisition programs
- Experience in Space Systems Command (SSC) acquisition
- Fluency with Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR)

- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (BA/BS) degree from an
accredited college or universityClearance:
- Candidate must have active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI

Requirements:
- Full-time, on site in vicinity of San Diego, CA, and will
require travel up to 25% of time within the continental United
States Basic Compensation: $161,000 -$185,000k The offered rate
will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills,
abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal
