are seeking an experienced Permanent Marine Construction
Superintendent to join our team in the Construction industry. The
successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing marine
construction projects, including barge handling, pile driving,
dredging, concrete placement, and formwork. The right candidate
will have a proven track record of success in marine construction
and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Must have
experience with:
- Barge Handling
- Pile Driving
- Dredging
- Concrete Placement
- Formwork
- Bulkhead Repair & ConstructionResponsibilitiesAbility to lead
and supervise large groupsWork together with the project team to
coordinate the delivery of equipment to the job site and to manage
the logistics of the crew, the crane barge, and the
equipment.Become involved in managing day-to-day operational
challenges, such as long-term planning and resource coordination,
identifying and enhancing processes, project staffing, and
continuous project support.Coordination of work and construction
crews is required to ensure that the project is completed according
to the requirements indicated in the statement of work Recognize
the project's subcontractors' scope of work In collaboration with
the project manager, responsible for adhering to timelines and
milestones for the project.Make sure the equipment is maintained
and the jobsite is tidy.Creation of project hazard analyses
Performing routine safety inspections to ensure compliance with
OSHAAccident investigation and reportingMaintain a daily logReview
of safe work procedures with the workforce before the project's
start Requirements 5+ years as a Superintendent, MARINE industry -
Marine Construction experience is a MUST HAVE Strong experience
with barge handling, pile driving, dredging, concrete placement,
and formworkPrioritize safety and awareness at jobsiteKnowledge of
construction and engineering principles and practicesAbility to
read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and
permitsAdvanced knowledge of construction scheduling and cost
controlAbility to lead and supervise large groups Display a
professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors,
clients, and the general public at all timesStrong organizational,
multi-tasking and decision-making abilityMathematical skills
including weights and measures conversionsExcellent communication
and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong
relationships with clients, contractors, and other
stakeholders.Computer skills*Must be able to regularly sit, stand,
walk in varying and uneven terrain; occasionally lift and move
objects up to 50 pounds*Must be willing to work odd hours on
occasion, outside of normal working hours, including nights and
weekends.*Must have a valid U.S. driver's license, pass a drug
test, and be able to pass a federal background
