Job Description:

Job Summary: Under indirect supervision, operates dual energy x-ray absorptiometry ( DXA ) and/or other densitometry equipment in order to perform scans of the lumbar spine, proximal femur and/or forearm that measure the calcium content of bones and are utilized by physicians to screen for, diagnose, manage and treat osteoporosis and other metabolic diseases. Exercises technical judgment in order to obtain a computerized image of the tested area, bone density measurements and a computer-generated comparison of the patients measurements with normal age-specific measurements.Essential Responsibilities:

Documents clinical activities in a timely, comprehensive, and accurate manner. -Observes all organizational, regional, medical service area and Diagnostic Imaging Department policies and procedures. Maintains standards of professional behavior established to enhance quality of service. Utilizes effective communication skills. Exhibits professional conduct in all interactions with patients and staff.
