Role Summary -- Plans and coordinates construction activities around large transformational projects including but not limited to NT 2.0, hybrid node splits, and other FTTH/Business projects in support of NT 2.0.-- Projects will span multiple months or years & require greater collaboration with internal & external boundary partners. Performs field assessments, creates efficient route designs and estimates costs. Coordinates Network splicing for coax and fiber optic activation schedules.-- Will initiate access and request right-of-way agreements where applicable. Coordinates permitting request for pole applications, joint-trenching, and make-ready for utility poles.-- Inspects NT 2.0 networks to maintain construction standards. Ensures NT 2.0 network readiness for launch or deployment of products.-- Position will be assigned to specific functional roles --- Pre-Construction, Construction, and Post Activation.---- -- Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Pre-Construction Create budget estimate to include timeline and expected expenses. Confirm project created in WATTS/BID and received from Design.---- Review BOM and place orders based on lead-times and construction schedule.---- Performs site assessments of proposed NT 2.0 construction and ensures alternative routing delivers the most cost-effective design for construction. Coordinates and request make-ready, design verification, site walk-throughs, verification of demarcation point, coordinates access for subcontract labor, and requests private utility information.-- Coordinates and/or request permits, access, or ROW agreements where applicable, distributes design prints and other necessary working documents.-- Negotiates and approves design or construction changes with contractors and/or customers. Ensures tasks are completed within project workflow tools and schedules are tracked and maintained.-- All milestones tracked and updated as necessary.-- Estimates construction costs, prepares budgets, manages change orders, approve contractor invoices and tracks expenses. Verifies serviceability, surveys proposed service routing, and estimates material, construction, and labor costs. Coordinates and/or secures access or request-- ROW agreements, and completes route designs. Provide accurate daily project status reports including budget, scheduling, and costs. Creates and manages Construction Work Orders as necessary.-- Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Construction. Provide oversight of construction project to include materials, contract labor, resources, & estimates to include timelines & expected expenses. Primary work will be in support of NT 2.0. Coordinates construction activities with public works personnel, developers, customers, building owners, and utilities on NT 2.0 projects. Create UET tickets in Remedy for all construction related tasks (ICOMS, ECR, etc). Coordinates with boundary partners such as Fiber Technicians, Transport Engineering, various contractors, and General Contractors on a build site. Negotiates and approves design or construction changes with contractors and/or customers. Higher level of collaboration with boundary partners which may include coordination of fiber splicing & testing to ensure readiness for release of addresses. Interacts with department of transportation, outside agency or other utilities to complete public works or third-party conversions. Manages construction costs, budgets, change orders, approve contractor invoices and tracks expenses. Tracks material orders and ensures delivery schedule support construction schedules. Initiates customer contacts including customer notification process. Inspect construction work or coordinate inspection assignments. Releases addresses as serviceable and notifies other departments of serviceability. Partners with contractors to ensure Cox standards are applied to construction builds. Creates and manages Construction Work Orders as necessary. Manage and maintain accuracy of ZeroChaos engagements with boundary partners. -- Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Post Construction As NT 2.0 projects are completed, perform tasks to close tasks in database/tool, reconcile assets, and generate reports to ensure proper closure of project. Creates and manages Construction Work Orders as necessary. Notify FNT organization of completion. Ensure quality control surveys and tasks are completed in a timely manner. Ensure all punch list items are resolved. Address and resolve all post-cutover cable issues. Ensure all assets are placed in-service. Ensure all fiber splicing documentation has been provided and internal tools are updated as necessary. Ensure as-builts are received and reviewed.-- To include RF levels and all cable and routing changes and documented accordingly.-- Review all invoices and ensure they are processed as appropriate.-- Perform project reconciliation.-- Includes material, time, all invoices, charges, and all UET tickets.-- Ensure project is properly closed.---- Minimum HS diploma, GED or relevant work experience 24 months experience in construction or equivalent experience at similar company. Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Interpersonal and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization that may work in different locations. -- Preferred-- AS/AA or Technical Certification in related discipline strongly desired (i.e. Engineering Technology, Electronics, Construction, etc.).---- --
