Maintain and repair the facility s structure, equipment and
grounds, including plumbing, electrical and HVAC; perform
moderately skilled trade work, such as carpentry or painting in the
construction, repair or alteration of structures such as walls,
roofs or office fixtures; work with manufacturing or process
engineering on the installation and/or repairs of equipment as
required; make periodic and special inspections of the premise to
determine repair work when necessary; work from blueprints,
drawings and rough sketches.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
* Perform moderately semi-skilled repairs to building fixtures,
electrical fixtures, plumbing fixtures and performs touch up
painting when necessary.
* Perform repairs on fleet vehicles; ensure vehicle maintenance
records are up to date.
* Provide maintenance on manufacturing equipment as necessary.
* Perform chemical change-out and replenishment for manufacturing
areas; fulfill maintenance requests.
* Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety
policies and practices.
* Improve and maintain 5S in your area; make suggestions for
* Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well
as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem
* Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team
support as appropriate.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
* Performs moderately complex maintenance work ;
* Performs other duties and special projects as assigned such as
workstation set up.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (The following qualifications can be
acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or
vocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
* Five (5) years of related maintenance technician experience,
including carpentry, plumbing and electrical, experience performing
moderately complex repairs, preferred; must have journeyman level
experience in two (2) of the building trades; high school or
general education, a plus;
* Communication skills: ability to receive messages by telephone or
in person; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify
meaning; ability to read, interpret and comprehend simple
instructions, short correspondence and memos; ability to write
simple correspondence; ability to communicate with quality,
integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages
innovation and possibilities; proficient English reading level to
understand terminology used on the job and within the
* Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all
units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and
decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw
and interpret bar graphs;
* Equipment skills: Intermediate knowledge of machines and tools
including their design, uses, repair and maintenance; ability to
use hand tools such as hammer and screw driver wrench; good
* Time Management and Organizational skills: flexibility and
adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to
maintain confidentiality; ability to cope with rapidly changing
priorities; ability to prioritize workload on a daily basis;
