Job Description:
Marriott San Diego Gaslamp Quarter is looking for a Sales Room
Coordinator that will provide excellent service to our clients and
guests through attention to detail and an uncomparable work
ethic.
This postion pays $19.50 hour. This is a full-time position
eligible for benefits.
This position will generally work weekdays, but must be flexible to
work nights, weekends and holidays for special events as business
needs dictates.

What Will I Be Doing?
-Pre-arrival planning
-Using the GPS (guest planning screen) to review any special
requests and block accordingly
-Review all High actionable arrivals on GXP home screen
-Review all Ambassador arrivals and pre-block accordingly
-Responsible for entering Sales contracts & create group blocks in
PMS & MARSHA.
-Make reservations for group blocks, some individual reservations
for long-term and repeat guests, and also for guests who have
negotiated corporate rates.
-Make room package reservations to include room and food and
beverage reservations.
-Clearly communicate group information from Sales to Front office
associates and ensure everything flows smoothly from the time of
booking through check out.
-Pre-block team, group and VIP rooms.
-Update EPIC (in Marriott Franchise Source).
-Attend to and respond to guest complaints/comments (In-House, GSS
guests, etc.).
-Be familiar with the operating procedures of all other areas of
the hotel, cooperating fully and in a friendly manner with those
areas to assure customer satisfaction.
-Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
-Must be able to multi-task in a busy environment, follow through
on guest requests, ensure guest satisfaction, and work as a team
player
-Good communication, interpersonal skills are essential
