Job Description:

Duties * You will screen purchase requests for purchases under or above the micro-purchase threshold for completeness and adequacy * You will assist and collaborate with departments on specific needs, selection of materials, supplies, and equipment, including furnishing prices, available products, and sources of supply. * You will develop and selects criteria/technical ranking factors for selecting the awardees. * You will evaluate quotes received in accordance with approved evaluation criteria * You will monitor performance of contracts and deliveries, keeping the customer informed of any problems with delivery or performance. * You will receive visitors and telephone calls for the Provost Marshal's Office and Fire Department concerning purchase requirements/inquiries. * You will read incoming correspondence, publications and directives and forwards to appropriate Provost Marshal's Office personnel. * You will coordinate with other agencies, i.e., Small Business Administration and Department of Labor Requirements Conditions of Employment * Must be a US Citizen. * Must be determined suitable for federal employment. * Must participate in the direct deposit pay program. * New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal. * This is a Bargaining Unit position. Qualifications GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Negotiating, awarding, and administering procedures for simplified acquisition from standard off-the-shelf to highly technical and complex commercial items; Knowledge of informal open market methods and low bid in order to purchase a variety of pressing everyday operational needs for customers; researching the Internet for sources of supply; using basic arithmetic use in business to make simple comparisons of price, discounts, transportation costs, or similar terms; assisting in post-award procedures sufficient to resolve typical problems with deliverables; AND using automated systems and databases. GS-06 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Researching the Internet for sources of supply; using basic arithmetic to make simple comparisons of price, discounts, transportation costs, or similar terms; assisting in post-award procedures sufficient to resolve typical problems with deliverables; AND using automated systems and databases.
